DESCRIPTION
This logo for Ribco is constructed as a geometric monogram, integrating the letter “R” into a star-like configuration of interlocking forms. Executed in black ink on paper, the composition relies on sharp angular planes and precise figure–ground relationships to create a sense of structure and dimensionality. The forms appear assembled from folded or cut elements, suggesting continuity within a tightly controlled system.
Ottinetti transforms a single initial into a constructed form that reflects the logic of conversion itself—material shaped, redirected, and reconfigured. The mark carries both identity and process: the “R” is not applied to the structure but embedded within it. This ability to unify letterform and industrial function into a single, coherent visual idea underscores his strength in designing marks that are not only recognizable, but conceptually grounded and operationally meaningful.
